Special note is taken of the buildings. The two mansard roof buildings, about one-quarter over from the right, are long gone. To their left is the Lines house. Between the Lines house and the first mansard roof building is Highland Avenue, now Warren Hagstrom Way. The sand pit, also known as Powder Hollow is in the background.

At the time, the dam site was somewhat of a tourist attraction and a good background for family photos. This dapper gent is a good example. (In this, as in all cases, anyone able to identify subjects in the photos is asked to write the webmaster.)
